In fact, that's why "The Pin" is
such a good idea. Because the Pin is smooth, and without serrations, there's no
annoying click-click-clicking sound as the patient walks. And no special tool is needed
for the patient to enter or remove the prosthetic socket.
But that's only the beginning - fabrication is simplified
with an easy-to-trim adjustable push button. This assures that no dirt or unwanted objects
can enter vital parts of the attachment.
Unlike traditional fabrication, use of a Dummy ends the
risk of getting resin into the attachment. The combination Fixture/Dummy guarantees a
positive alignment with the residual limb - and the attachment can be removed from the
socket if needed. "The Pin" system is extremely lightweight, noiseless and
almost impossible to wear out!
